We Have improved Our foods For 2010 & added some new formulas!
Here is an Overview of the Changes:
· Improved Vitamin Mineral Premix - Our top three volume canine formulas have been tweaked to make them even better than before, with additional vitamins and minerals that provide optimum canine overall health including Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids, more Kelp Meal and Biotin for the utmost in skin & coat. We also raised glucosamine levels, & added chondroiton for stronger hips and joints.
· Same great taste - The prebiotics & probiotics that aid digestion and enhance the immune system, the protein sources, vegetables & fruits matched to them, cooking processes, and resulting flavors have not changed, so you can expect that your dogs will continue to love our food, just as they have in the past.
· E-Z TO TRANSITION - 2009 in-market testing showed very little or no digestive upset created by the switch to new formulas, but just to be safe with those sensitive dogs, we suggest you blend some of the old food with the new to smooth the transition.
· Tighter smaller poops - One added benefit of the new blends, was hypothesized in the lab & later confirmed in the market with selected local dogs, is smaller, tighter poops, which one friend calls “tootsie roll poops!”
· NEW NAMES REFLECT HOLISTIC STATUS - We renamed these varieties to more closely reflect improvements, the holistic value of our foods and the overall health benefits they provide. E.g. Natural Premium (Chicken) is now Holistic Premium - Chicken. Select Low Fat is now Canine Holistic Low Fat. Lamb & Rice Select is now Holistic Lamb & Rice.
· HIGHER Protein / Fat levels – Math in the lab tells us to slightly reduce feeding quantity to compensate, yet in tests we saw no notable weight gain or any other reason for concern. Market expansion will determine if this presents an issue. Please keep us informed re. your dog.
· NEW 25 KILO BAGS – 55 & 110 lb. orders now replace 50’s and 100’s. I guess that is 10% more reason to let us deliver it direct to your door.
· modest price increases – Last adjusted in May 2008, this increase is about 4%. By ordering larger amounts you could actually reduce the cost per lb. of your pet food. We are still over 20% less than comparable holistic foods sold in the big box pet stores.
· May 2010 – we dropped our catfish variety in favor of the Salmon as a better hypo-allergenic food with a more premium seafood. We have added a new top end hypo-allergenic food made with Menhaden Fish & Potato. This food has a higher level of Omega 3 fatty acids than any other food on the market today.
